The GRD is yours. Take care of it.
These rules aren't here to restrict you. They're here because 2,400+ members share this space, and every single one of them deserves a great experience every time they show up. Hold it down for the crew.
1. Respect — The Non-Negotiable
The GRD is a judgment-free zone. Every person who walks through our doors is welcome. This means:
- Zero tolerance for discrimination based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, body size, or fitness level
- No mocking, belittling, or unsolicited criticism of other members' form, style, or appearance
- Verbal or physical aggression of any kind is grounds for immediate and permanent removal
- Respect instructor authority — corrections and modifications are for your safety and growth
2. Respect the Space
- No food or colored drinks on the studio floor (water in sealed bottles only)
- Shoes must be worn in common areas; studio-appropriate footwear required on the floor
- Return all borrowed equipment to its designated storage location after class
- The changing rooms and bathrooms are shared spaces — keep them clean
- Do not bring excessive personal belongings onto the studio floor; use provided lockers
3. Punctuality
- Arrive at least 5 minutes before your scheduled class start time
- Late arrivals (more than 5 minutes) may not be permitted entry at instructor discretion — not to punish, but to avoid disruption and safety risks during warmups
- Classes end on time. Please respect the next class and the instructor's schedule
- Missed bookings without 2-hour cancellation notice may forfeit your class credit
4. Personal Hygiene
High-intensity classes mean you sweat. A lot. We respect that — but we also share the space.
- Arrive clean. Use deodorant before class.
- Bring a towel and use it. Mats and floors should not be left soaked.
- Avoid wearing strong perfumes or colognes — others may have sensitivities
- Do not attend class if you are showing symptoms of illness (fever, coughing, vomiting, etc.)
5. Equipment Use
- Use only equipment appropriate for the class format or as directed by the instructor
- Do not use equipment from other class setups without permission
- Report damaged or broken equipment to staff immediately
- Personal equipment (resistance bands, gloves, etc.) is welcome but should not interfere with others
6. Photography & Recording
- You may photograph or record yourself during free time or designated social moments
- Never record or photograph other members without their explicit verbal consent
- Recording during active classes is not permitted unless authorized for official GRD content
- If posted to social media, please tag @funkickgrd — we love seeing the community thrive
7. Digital Community (Online & App)
Our online spaces (app, group chats, social channels) are extensions of the GRD floor:
- The same respect rules apply digitally — harassment, hate speech, and bullying online will result in removal
- Do not share private member information, photos, or stories without permission
- Constructive feedback is welcome; personal attacks are not
- Report any online misconduct to [email protected]
8. Consequences
We believe in fair, consistent enforcement:
- First Violation: Private conversation with a staff member or instructor
- Second Violation: Written notice and temporary suspension from classes
- Third or Severe Violation: Immediate termination of membership without refund
Severe violations (physical aggression, harassment, or endangerment) result in immediate removal regardless of history. FunKick GRD reserves the right to involve law enforcement when necessary.
To report a concern, contact us at [email protected] or speak to any instructor or front desk staff.
